An eight-day strike has been confirmed at the port of Felixstowe

Due TO THE BREAKDOWN OF LABOR NEGOTIATIONS, FXT TERMINAL HAS OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED THAT THERE WILL BE AN 8-DAY STRIKE NEXT WEEK (August 21 to August 29) (FXT TERMINAL WILL BE OPEN until 4AM ON August 21). We will continue to closely monitor and update the operation hours of the terminal during the strike.

When workers strike at Felixstowe Port, the shipping company will normally charge the relevant fees, that is, no matter whether the container is picked up or not, as long as the container free period and free period are exceeded, the original fee will be charged.

Our UK branch is paying close attention to the development of the situation, following up the operation time during the strike, and coordinating the return of cabinets as much as possible. At the same time, our company has arranged the dispatching of its own trucks, and we will try our best to give priority to the task of container picking up at the port. Ensure that the goods are picked up quickly after arrival and avoid extra charges as much as possible.

At present, the known docking plan of several water vessels will be further adjusted (you can also check the updates on the ship company’s official website).

Here are some examples:

1) EVER ALP-- ETA18/08, port docking plan has been confirmed, and if it can be collected before the strike, it will be arranged normally; If the empty container cannot be returned, the point will be placed in the yard near FXT.

2) OOCL HONG KONG– originally planned ETA22/08/2022; The latest display has been changed to ETA31/08.
